Guest guest
Penny, Here in Alberta, it's easier to find half-time or flex-time employment than full time. Could you do something like that? Say, work mornings only, or find a job where you make your own hours and only have to worry about logging a certain number per week. I had a job like that at our local library, where I was expected to work 20 hours a week, and I could schedule them any way I wanted, as long as I did the 20 hours. Also, you might look into doing something from home. Tuna --- vegasgirl_35 wrote: Ok folks.. I've been thinking about this for a long time, and not sure what I should do. I really would like to go back to work, but I really want to find a job where I can make a difference. There are so many full time jobs that I am qualified for, but I just can't commit myself to 8 - 10 hour days. So what should I do? Thanks Penny <BR> ===== ______________________________________________________ Send your holiday cheer with http://greetings.yahoo.ca
Guest guest
Penny, Try to get a job at the school, especially the lunchroom. If they don't have any openings they may need some subs. Some of our subs work 2-3 days a week, sometimes they might work a 7 hour shift or a 4 hour shift. It all depends on who they are filling in for. I started in August. This is my first time working in over 9 years! I did not want a job that I would have to beg a day off when the kids had a holiday. I am now a " contract " employee, have 9 sick days and get paid when the school is closed for holidays! This was the perfect job for me. ===== Ginger, wife to Jeff 14 ADD 9 Autistic 7 NT __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Ginger - I've actually thought about that...I've even thought about becoming Jacqui's *gulp* Aide. (DH didn't think it was a good idea) :-) I'll put that on the list! Thanks! Penny

Guest guest
I would not want to be an aide! Have you thought about being a substitute teacher? I think around here they make around $40-$50 a day. Not bad! Ginger __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I do day care in my home. I am certified through our county and I am taking classes at the local college. Doing something like that wouldn't really get you out of the house though and you might want to get away from the house and that whole thing. What are your qualifications? Guest guest
Ive started selling avon because it is too hard for me to work outside of the home with Trevor being sick all the time and all of his doctor appointments. I'm not doing to bad...along with getting child support for all three kids. ( who is impatiently waiting on a pizza to get here) but I don't know where to start... > > as far as working from home...same thing...I've done that before, so > I know I can do it...just not sure what to do!
