Guest guest
Each lab uses different techniques. It's best to look at the lab form, and see where it says " out-of-range " or " abnormal " . Labs know that doctors even need it all spelled out for them. So, the lab will denote what is abnormal or out-of-range or at least mention what is considered normal or in-range and then give the patient's results for you to compare. Guest guest
I see that you did put the reference range in, but they usually also post something that lets you know that your number is out-of-range. > means greater than and < means less than. When they put >= to, they mean anything greater or equal to. But, each doc has their view on what is considered high because each pathogen has it's own interpretation and effects. So, a doctor may say that most people have high titers to a certain pathogen, and dismiss it. On another note, we have had low normals, but within range, on test results that the docs considered abnormal or a significant contributor to the problem. Also, the doc takes into consideration the child's current treatment to see if it might have increased the titers. Sorry, for all the rambling.
