Hi all!

I feel that I owe so many of you personal e-mails, but

I am really trying to keep many balls in the air these

days.

2002 has not been a great year so far for Jens and I

-- he was laid off on Jan 10, and I am going to lose

my job on May 1, if not sooner. I've been trying hard

to stay focused at work, on work, but some days that

is easier said than done. I am updating my resume and

contacting every person I've ever met in my life in

the hopes that I can find out about a position taht

will fit. And I have been worrying alot about what we

are going to do when Jens' severence pay runs out.

The only good news in all of this is that I will be

able to pick up our insurance and we won't have to pay

the full COBRA co-pay until August, so we have a good

deal of time to find a new job.

An interesting bit of info about pre-existing

condition clauses -- I looked it up recently: If you

go from one policy (through an employer, for example)

directly to another without any lapse in coverage, the

pre-existing condition clause doesn't apply. Only if

you let your coverage lapse and you are uninsured for

60 days (I think it is 62 or 63, but 60 is a good,

safe number) then you can be denied coverage for an

entire 12 months for a pre-existing condition. I hope

this helps someone -- I never knew the full details.

One other question: Do any of you have term life

insurance that you have gotten after the PSC

diagnosis? I was turned down recently and would like

to get some. Thanks in advance!

Take care and I hope to get caught up one of these

days!

Colleen
