Guest guest
A blood count might be able to tell the difference, or a measurement of Ig levels. If there is an allergic reaction, IgE levels would be elevated. Otherwise, it is difficult to tell the difference. Amoxi is made from mold. How can you tell the difference between a herx and an allergic reaction? To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Wed, March 2, 2011 9:17:00 PMSubject: RE: Doxycycline That serious regression may have been a herx reaction. If you had continued for a bit longer, it may have gotten better, with longer-term improvements. Every case is different, though, and you have to live with the effects. Amoxi and zith both only weakly cross the BBB. According to Burrascano's guidelines, amoxi needs to be in very high doses to be effective and zith has overall poor results when administered orally. A few months ago, we tried augmentin es (which is a higher dosage of amoxi + clavulanate) for a couple of weeks, but we only saw serious regression. I'm happy you are seeing good things with amoxi/zith, though. Treating the critters early in life is certainly the way to go. My son is much younger (2 1/2) when we started, but his is only on amox and azrith and we have seen good results so far. To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism From: patrickmandich@...Date: Wed, 2 Mar 2011 16:27:46 -0800Subject: Doxycycline We're not seeing any improvements for lyme/increased bart on nearly 3 months of rifampin, omnicef, and zith. Indeed, our son's behaviors have been undeniably worse, i.e., non-compliance, increased OCD, agression, etc.Our guy turns 8 in May, so if this regiment continues to fail, we might ask our LLMD then to try some Doxy. It's suppose to stain developing teeth, but a year and a half of so many different abx seem to have ALREADY discolored his bottom permanent teeth. It would be nice to just catch a glimpse of what he might be if he hadn't been born with borrelia et al. Has anyone seen any improvements with doxy for older ASD/lyme kids?P.S. My wife finally saw an adult LLMD for her condition and he believes that we will not see any major cognitive changes in our son unless we try the IV abx route. __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5921 (20110302) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5921 (20110302) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com__________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5921 (20110302) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5922 (20110303) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5922 (20110303) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5924 (20110303) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5924 (20110303) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com
