Feedback on getting motility going?

My MIL is moderate/advanced and just recently her bowel is not moving stuff

out until she's in a lot of discomfort etc. I won't go into more detail.

At Doc's direction we use Miralax every day which helped for about a month

but now though things are soft they still aren't moving. Her doc suggests

using duculax suppository to get things going - it irritates locally and

that causes a reflex action to start up.

Before I go there I'm wondering if anyone has other possible suggestions I

could run by her doc? Or if anyone has tried this duculax and how does it

work? If this is not appropriate for this list, please accept my apology -

I am just trying to find how to manage these things and it seems like every

week it's something new.

My husband and I and two caregivers are managing her daily care here in our

home.
