Guest guest
Hi Everyone, (from Florida) here after ten days away. It took a few days to get my mail under control and now I want to write back to some posts and tell you about my visit to Spadt (in Philly). I wrote about my experience with estrace (amytriptelyne) a while back but I will refresh your memories - I could not tolerate even 5 mg in terms of tired dizzy ect. It was recommended to me by my care provider here who consulted with a pychiatrist (the expert on all antidepresants) to try low dose (10-20mg) of Paxil instead and it would target the pain in a low dose the same as elavil otr the other tricyclics w/out the effects. This was confirmed, that yes it is a good choice for vulvar pain, by Spadt, an NP in Philly who specializes in vulval disorders/problems. Several people wrote very good things about her a while back (search by her name) and as I was going to be in the area I went to see her. She was great! So nice and knowledgable, thourough, she says I have " classic vestibulitis " , whatever that means. Also, since I have pain deep within she tested and concluded that it is definately at least somewhat structurally caused and if I were in Philly she would want me to go to her PT. Since I am not and I have no insurance or money she gave me exersises to do specifically for me because my pelvic is " anteriorly rotated " . I had already been doing the estrace topically for a while (no help) but she wants me to do it 2X a dy and since I got it in Vitamin E oil and it is soothing, that's not a problem. ($40.00 for a 4 oz jar which lasts about 6 months to the person who asked) and I don't see why you couldn't get it put into the organic aloe to the person who inquired). She wants me to take paxil (10 mg/day and build up to 20 maybe) And lastly she wants me to try topical capsasin - others have written about it so again look back on old posts and read about it - To those of you who haave tried it, how's it going? Please write with your experiences. She did a trial try in the office to make sure I did not have a bad reaction to it - it is crazy - it burns like hell!!!! But what can I do, she says I could be pain free if I do it every night in just a few weeks. This is something I tink needs to be recommended to you, not something we should toss around as a home remedy - at least not yet - I'll be the guinne pig and if after ten years I am pain free - you know I'll be telling you all to try it. So I guess that's it, for now at least. I highly recommend going to her, Ariana!!!! How you doing? And anyone else w/out a good care provider who even remotly lives in the Philly areas. Talk to you all soon, in Florida (don't be jealous it's freezing here too!)
