Guest guest
Hi I was wondering how your tx is going. I am very interested now too in possibly going to see Dr. . I am in MI. Don' t have insurance yet though...it's being processed, so like 8 more weeks. But anyways my symptoms are like yours minus the IC. Can you see C. glabrata under a microscope as a " FUNGUS " ? Because my dr. looked at my culture (slide under the microscope in-office) because i didn't have the insurance to have it sent to a lab. She (general physician...but has worked w/ me for years and knows my situation...just not the cure) said she saw " clue cells " indication BV. She put me on METROGEL and it cleared up. That was 2months ago. I have the same thing back again. She called me in another RX for metrogel. I didn't go get it yet....don't know if i should take that again. (one thing too..both times it's been exactly 1 Week before my period) I have taken many doses of antibiotics in the past ( like 1992-1997) for various different respiratory infections. It was always 10 days at the most. But it seemed like every time i went to the dr. i was loaded up w/ antibiotics. Cipro, Augmentin, Amoxicillin, etc. were just a few...but multiple times. I also had HPV 7 years ago...which i " THOUGHT " my VV was all related to. BUt now that i think about it...this seems logical. THe only thing is , is that every culture (even ones sent to the lab) show minimal or no yeast (c. albicans maybe) Now that i have told you my life story...what are dr. davis' prices like? Do they want pymt up front? Is he thorough? How did the Nizoral affect you? Different than Diflucan? Do you 'have' to use an estrogen cream? I'm really sorry for all the ?s....just reallllllllly curious!! THanks a lot....Jodi
