If one doesn't have a GB, then I'm glad that there's something that can help the problems. Who knows, those of us trying to do the cleanse may still have to have our GB out. All I know is to keep on trying. I'm also hoping that the Beta TCP will help for those of us who do still have our GBs, but have these gallstones to contend with. I'm hoping that it thins my bile down good, and if anyone else tries it, I hope that it helps them. Susie
Guest guest
I am taking Beta-Plus, which was recommended by my acupuncturist. I tend to take it with meals that have high fat and think I may need a little help (more so than just fiber caps, etc). I'm going to buy another bottle, have gone through 2 bottles so far. I think it helps. One caution - they recommend you vary your dose as to not get dependent on it as a replacement for natural bile. I tend to take 1 or 2 tablets at a meal. Usually once a day/every other day. of Oregon > Jane, > Yeah, they had a little writeup on it. Not much. Here's what it says: > Beta-Plus - Source of organic whole beet concentrate and purified bile salts. > Use with constipation, biliary insufficiency (light colored stools) or where > the gall bladder has been removed and the symptoms of gall bladder > dysfunction are still present (pain over the eyes, pain in the webbing > between the right thumb and fore finger, pain between the shoulder blades, > gas bloating, inability to tolerate fats or fried foods, etc.). > **************** > Now, Jane, you have to go back to MyVits to place your order, if you wish to > order. > Take care, > Susie
Guest guest
Beta Plus™ - Source of organic whole beet concentrate and purified bile salts. Use with constipation, biliary insufficiency (light colored stools) or where the gall bladder has been removed and the symptoms of gall bladder dysfunction are still present (pain over the eyes, pain in the webbing between the right thumb and fore finger, pain between the shoulder blades, gas bloating, inability to tolerate fats or fried foods, etc.). This is from Dr. Mercola's website, quote: COMMENT: Surgeons remove nearly ONE MILLION gallbladders per year. Nearly every single one of these could have been prevented. The diet I mention in the above comment, as this study suggests, is an important foundational treatment. However, many people with excellent diets will still have problems. As I mentioned last week, the amino acid taurine and whole beet concentrates tend to thin the bile in the gallbladder. This thins the sludge and allows it to flow and exit the gallbladder so it can perform its main function which is to emulsify fats so they can be absorbed. Biotics is a supplement company generally only available in physician’s offices. Their excellent product that has these nutrients is Beta TCP. If someone already has their gallbladder removed one can use their product with bile salts called Beta Plus. If you or someone you know has had their gallbladder removed, it will be important to take some form of bile salts with EVERY meal for the rest of your life. Failure to do this will contribute significantly to the development of chronic disease through fat malabsorption and its secondary disruption of prostaglandin balance.
