Guest guest
I have to admit that I'm not real familiar with hypoglycemia. Would you care to share more about what the dietary guidelines are?? >> ***************** Hi, , I don't know much about it either. If it has to do with low-blood sugar, then I would juice up other veggies in your juicer. There are a ton of other juices that are wonderful. If your juicer can do leaves, this is one that I love. It does, however, have an apple in it, which you could leave out if you wish. And you can add more broccoli or bell pepper, if you wish. 2 large spinach leaves (I use a lot more) 3 broccoli flowerets 1-2 garlic cloves 1 green pepper 1 cup parsley tops, chopped 1 red apple. Now, , for some reason this juice makes my husband high as a kite when he first drinks it. So he sits down. I don't know why. Maybe it's the garlic or the chlorophyll hit from the parsley tops. It doesn't do me that way. Susie
Guest guest
Hi I have to admit that I'm not real familiar with hypoglycemia. Would you care to share more about what the dietary guidelines are?? All I can tell you is that both carrot and apple juice have a very high sugar content, so you would need to figure that into those guidelines. Are you buying the juices or making your own? If you have a juicer, I think you can add other things (i.e. celery) to the juice that would sort of dilute the sugar content. That's about all I can offer! --- Villemure <mariobrosss@...> wrote: > I would like to know if we can consume carrot juice > ans apple even if you have hypoglycemia. > > I'm asking this question because I passed the test > for hypoglycemia and unfortunately I am. > > I know that my question is not concerning > gallstones. > > Thanks, > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been > removed] > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
, Like I said before, I passed the test for hypoglycemia and I am. But me too I'm not familiar with this disease but I do know that carrot juice contain a lot of sugar. I would like to detox my body to improve my condition but I have to be carefull for what I'm doing and not aggravated my case. I'm not surprise because I'm constantly tired. My level energy is low. I know that diet can help me but maybe there is a way to improve it too. I would try to find a forum on that subject. ----- Original Message ----- From: D gallstones Sent: Sunday, December 02, 2001 8:38 AM Subject: Re: hypoglycemia Hi I have to admit that I'm not real familiar with hypoglycemia. Guest guest
When you were diagnosed, what kind of recommendations, if any, did your doctor make regarding dietary changes? I know that there are those on this list who have a LOT more knowledge in these areas and you will probably get a far more educated response than the one I gave you. You mentioned finding another forum (and you know there are groups out here on just about every topic.) here is one that might be helpful to you. To subscribe, send and email to: hypoglycemia-talk-subscribe I also wanted to mention that doing a gallbladder cleanse is reported to sometimes reduce a diabetics need for insulin, so I'm guessing that it would be possible that it would help with hypoglycemia as well, since that involves blood sugar too. I hope you find the answers that you're looking for! --- Villemure <mariobrosss@...> wrote: > Like I said before, I passed the test for > hypoglycemia and I am. > But me too I'm not familiar with this disease > but I do know that carrot juice contain a lot of > sugar. Guest guest
Hypoglycemia and diabetes are connected to pancreas problems and its regulation of insulin. (Too much insulin is one of the causes of cholesterol problems, by the way, leading to gallbaldder problems.) Alot of attention has been paid towards the intake of sugar and pancreas problems, but I've been shown it is more about how you take the sugar in than just the fact that you are having sugar. It's been shown that if you allow enough saliva to be produced when you eat sugar, it is less harmful. Diabetics can eat fruit high in sugar if they chew it long enough before swallowing it. Dr. is a famous herbalist who spoke about this fact often. He liked to point out that our bodies have a pint of saliva available for every meal, but the common eating habit is to swallow the food before very much saliva has been added to it. He said " Chew your juices and drink your food, " meaning to drink your juices slowly and let them absorb lots of saliva before swallowing them, and chew your food until it turns into juice before swallowing. You'll find your digestive system thanking you for that extra work you do for it, and you probably won't eat so much at a sitting if you take your time like that. Enjoy your food! Take the time to absorb it into your taste buds fully, and you will fill it with thankfulness for it's blessed taste! > I would like to know if we can consume carrot juice ans apple even if you have hypoglycemia. > > I'm asking this question because I passed the test for hypoglycemia and unfortunately I am. > > I know that my question is not concerning gallstones. > > Thanks, > > > > >
Guest guest
I stayed away from answering this as all my info is my own personal observance, being hypo myself at times, more so some times than other. I seem to be more hypo the more toxic I am. If I eat the low carb diet, it is managed, I use mostly low carb veggies to aid the digestive system in its healing, meat being problematic for me with mercury toxicity, bad bacterias, etc. As to apples, I know they said that granny smith are tolerated by many, being lowest in sugar. I am not having a problem with the apple juice now but the Whole Foods market brand is definately suprerior for ME in stopping my gallbladder pain??? I juice beets and carrots too and they do not cause me a problem. It is very definately as stated above for me, stick to the no sugar, no wheat no rice, no beans, no potatoes diet and mostly eat veggies, and I am good. Guest guest
Hi, I sometimes drink diluted orange juice ... a little before and more along with my cardio workout (moderately fast walking). More often I exercise about an hour after eating a cr meal that is moderately high in low glycemic carbos. Most of my meals are less than 500 calories. Even a 300 calorie breakfast seems to cover it, anyway. Hang in there. It gets easier. You'll feel better than you believe right now. Ed S. Hi, I'm a new member to the group and wanted to know if anyone knew if CR would help hypoglycemia (which I have). More specifically, would CR help the hormonal imbalances already present in my system. Also do those practicing CR who exercise do anything special as far as eating goes before they exercise. Exercise seems to help my carb metabolism but also makes my blood sugar unstable. Thanks in advance for the information.

Yes, especially if you eat several small meals a day rather than 3 large ones, as I and many other cronies do. I eat 5 or 6 mini meals and snacks a day.
