Gosh I hope he's okay....What kind of dosage was he on

and was it for depression?

Was your son experiencing these symptoms in the

beginning or somewhere near there? These symptoms are

the norms when beginning the meds, if they haven't

subsided within a couple of months it's the wrong meds

for him. He should try to taper off, not just quit.

Have the doctor lower his mgs. Eventually the

symptoms will subside. Take it slow.

Hi , & nbsp; I would like to comment on the

statement you made regarding weight gain. & nbsp; I

don't agree that some of us can control the weight

gain. & nbsp; I work out 5 times a week and watch what I

eat. & nbsp; In 1993 I lost 45 pounds with diet and

exercise. & nbsp; I have been able to maintain my weight

up until I started taking Zoloft. & nbsp; I didn't not

change my exercising & amp; eating habits. & nbsp; But I

gained 30 pounds in less than 2 months. & nbsp; I have

been trying unsuccessfully to lose the weight. & nbsp;

When I took a lower dose of Zoloft I was able to lose

12 lbs. & nbsp; & nbsp;When I increased & nbsp;the dose of

Zoloft I gained it all back plus some. & nbsp; This

is & nbsp; VERY frustrating for me! & nbsp; It seems if I

go off of anti depressants I may be able to lose the

weight but then I will feel more depressed. & nbsp; It

is a vicious cycle. & nbsp; In my case I am not able to

control my weight unless I completely go off & nbsp;of

anti-depressants. & nbsp;Just my thoughts. & nbsp;

I apologize if I came off like I knew it all. I

surely didn't mean it. I have a weight problem

myself, no matter what I do. I am definitely not this

swelt thing over here by far. If the Zoloft is a

participant in your weight gain, is there not another

anti depressant that might work. I am taking

Wellbutrin now, but as with any of the anti's I have

taken I have not experienced the weight gain. My

weight gain is due to laziness...plus a few other

disappointing factors. But all in all, my weight gain

is my fault. Now if you talk about Prednisone which

is a steroid, talk about weight gain. Geez that stuff

makes you eat and eat and eat. I must have devoured a

whole pork roast loin in one night. Found out it was

the meds..lol..and I don't eat much meat as it is.

Thank goodness I'm not taking that anymore.

However, thanks for your comments, I have learned

something new. Much appreciated.

Hi Everyone,

Had to respond to celexa question. Celexa has

been a life saver for me. I have been on it for

about ten months now. I had tried all the anti-

depressants that my VV specialist recommened

for the VV but only gained wait and suffered from

awful constipation problems. As most of you know

a lot of us suffer from depression from the VV.

I for one cried all the time could hardly get out

of bed, after about three weeks on the

clexea I felt like I had my spirit back. The celexa

didn't help with the vulva or urthera burning but

it sure has helped me cope with it. I do worry

about withdrawals from it but I will cross that

bridge when the time comes. For now I don't have

any plans on going off it anytime soon. As far as it

affecting my sex life or lack of it I think my VV

takes care of the lack of it. But have to say since

being on the celexa I have had more desire to want

sex, unfortunately it is still painful so now I'm

FRUSTRATED but HAPPY! * chuckel* Hope this info helps.

Hi ,

I take 20mg once a day for depression. The first couple of weeks

I started taking it I suffered from heart burn but it passed

after a couple of weeks. Has it helped with your hot flashes?

How long have you been taking it? It sure has helped with my

depression.
