Guest guest
When faced with a major surgery such as this, should you get more than one opinion, or would it offend the doctors? Facing my MRI next week and don't want to hear the results, but then again HATE the headaches and left-sided numbness and tingling. And do y'all have neck pain as well? Mine just does not seem to want to go away at all, whatever I seem to do. And why don't neurosurgeons not like giving out meds? And what is it like pre-op, how do they prep you for the surgery? Am I asking too many questions? And when can you go back to work? What other symptoms did y'all have that something was not quite right? I have scoliosis, so I have a bad back all the time. How do y'all deal with it if ya work? And should ya bribe the nursing staff for better care? fudge and cookies I am thinking! Don't take life so seriously! ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com?sr=mc.mk.mcm.tag001

I think that is because it is your GP's job to do that. The chance of the NSG and your GP both prescribing meds, is too great to take a chance on, for any Dr. to go ahead and prescribe something , knowing that you have a doc already, that can , or already has prescribed something. Plus, I like to think that they have educating the GPs in mind also. Maybe not, but I know Dr. Frim spoke to one of 's docs about what she needed to be prescribed for pain etc. , along with explaining that just because the surgery was performed did not mean she was " fixed " as , she tried telling us, right before her phone call with Dr. Frim. That doc couldn't give enough refills after that one call, and totally believed her anytime she said she was in pain again, with no doubts. I don't know what he told her, but she was a different person to us after that. (You can't tell that we like that Frim-man, can you?)
