Guest guest
Hi Janice In response to you asking about Vagifem here's some info. It may be just what you need being you're probably just going into peri meno..... but the potency of the Estradiol 17b is quite low, it's only 25.8 "mcg"...... as compared to the reg Estrace cream which is .1 mg in each gram (notice Mg's as opposed to Mcg's). so it's definitely not as potent. And I'm not sure if you'd have enough 'discharge' to cover the vulvar area but worth a try and I doubt it could hurt you, my opinion anyway. But think I myself would still use the cream topically even if it's just two or three times a week with a small dab externally. I also understand it's quite expensive? not sure about that though. Like I said just my thoughts on it. Hope it helps a bit. Dee VAGIFEM DESCRIPTION: is the only vaginal tablet available containing estrogen derived from plants. (same as Estrace) The estrogen contained in VAGIFEM, 17beta-estradiol, is identical to the estrogen that is produced normally in your body before menopause. VAGIFEM is clinically proven to relieve the symptoms and discomfort of AV, including dryness, soreness and irritation. Plus, you can take comfort in knowing that the type of estrogen in VAGIFEM has been used by millions of women worldwide in a variety of healthcare products such as oral contraceptives and oral hormone replacement therapies (HRT).Atrophic vaginitis (AV) is a condition that frequently occurs in women as a result of estrogen deficiency following menopause. The symptoms of AV include vaginal dryness, itching and irritation that can also lead to painful intercourse. These symptoms can be effectively relieved by VAGIFEM, the world's first vaginal estrogen tablet containing 25.8 mcg of 17ß-estradiol hemihydrate equivalent to 25 mcg of 17ß-estradiol.
