Kassidy Graduated!

Hi all..Well it has been one hell of a long hot summer, and I never

thought I would be get to see my little girls cute little face

again, but yesterday we flew to Halifax to see the Neurosurgeon and

she got discharged from her helmet!!! It is a great feeling!

Kassidy keeps running her fingers thru her hair like she doesn't

recognise it..and i keep thinking that the helmet should be

there..but it is not going back on, and she is just the cutest

thing,,but she seems to have grown up all in one day! The Neuro said

that she has had great improvement, about 50% over the flatness that

she had, and correction of the facial asymmetry and ears. I just

can't get over how different she looks, I mean we were looking at

her with it off for a while everyday, but today she seems so

different..and people are different to her now too. I was shopping

after the appointment yesterday (Found a deadly Sears outlet with

fabulos prices) and i was expecting the same ol thing..you know the

looks of pity, like why is that poor child wearing that thing on her

head..and they would come over and you know they are pitying

you..you know the type..well we didn't get that..we got genuine

smiles, and people telling me what a cutie she is, and how intense

her eyes are, where as no one could see them before..it was

refreshing..and I feel like now others see her like we do..

I am loving hair that smells like hair and a head that looks like a

head instead of a deflated tire..
