LDN always worth a try; various responses according to metabolism and immune system condition. The docs at the University immune department here, some internationally renowned, recommend it extensively for all things related to Neuroendocrineimmune Diseases (many types, depending on environmental and genomic factors). Skip's Pharm. had the cheapest compounding to be found. Personal experience with own NK cells going from 0 to 60, metaphor, with six months' use; then all kinds of things began to shift. The U. also recommends in tandem Source Naturals Inosine (Swanson current good deal), one example of usage is one 500mg. three times per day, working up to it, skipping weekends to give the immune system a type of cellular Pilates workout. My son did not respond to Tenex, Strattera, Prozac, Clonipin, or Risperadal, so I though psychiatric medications were just not going to work for him. No positives. Negatives included falling asleep, bed wetting and/or being very drugged (even at a low dose) for Tenex and Risperdal, mania/OCD/agression with Strattera, irritability with Prozac and Clonapin.

He responded to Bethanochol, Secretin, digestive enzymes, and Flagyl, so I thought only gut treatments would make a difference. Then we tried Adderral for lack of energy and focus. Voila, he could attend, do superior school work, ignore his classmates distractions, seemed happier and more conversational.

We recently added LDN and saw improved mood/sense of humor. Conversations with him are more insightful and for the first time in his life he is enjoying the same television shows I watch. This is significant because his tastes are normally very immature when it comes to entertainment. He likes cartoon shows like "The Simpsons" and Nintendo games like Sonic the Hedgehog or . Now he is watching CSI, Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, and Glee with me because he is interested in the plot lines and/or humor. Sounds like a silly way to measure, but I think he is maturing.

I'm all for anything that makes life livable. Adderral is covered by insurance as is the nurse practitioner who prescribes it for us. It was an easy fix to a problem that had gone on for too many years. I wish he had started taking it in elementary school because he probably would have been in full inclusion and had much richer experiences to grow from.

Not saying it will work for anyone else, just that it seems like I was doing everything the hard way, when an easier solution was there all along.

Of course, one only thinks now that he has a motor delay, not that he received an autism diagnosis 4 years ago. I am this close ----- to run to this neurologist and pump my kid full with drugs (our little friend uses zyprexa, risperidone, catapresan).... Can someone shed a light on me about this thoughts?? Have you tried a similar approach or any drugs at all? How was your experience??? I am just to desperate to see my son....
