Guest guest
Hi - Please go see your doctor right away. Mid-cycle bleeding should be examined. You should go to your primary care doc, and/or your gyn. If you don't have a gyn, find a local Planned Parenthood (they can be very helpful). I had a " hymenectomy " (seriously - there are such things) b/c I had a very stubborn hymen causing me & my boyfriend a lot of pain. It was done in a dr's office, with local anesthesia - I was awake the whole time. Took 2-3 stiches. When I had intercourse 2 weeks later it actually felt good! Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Carolyn and all here, IT or TI happens to be technichal information for those who asked here. Can you give me some information as to what generally is an interdisciplinary degree from a university? I happened to see on TV this weekend where Joe Namath finally graduated from University of Alabama with a BA in this at age 64. IMHO?? It's terriffic after hearing sooooo many " stars " going to hell through scandals, etc. AFAIC, Both Namath and Kuczmich showed others " here's mud in your face " (through their own ways) using their hard work and attitudes. Kudos to both of these winners in my eyes! Truly inspirational role models indeed. ; D ; D Wanda http://community.webtv.net/tikigalharkins/LETSTALKASPERGERS

Do you mean undergraduate or graduate interdisciplinary degrees? In IT or in general? If you go to this page http://www.washington.edu/students/crscat/ and click on " Interdisciplinary Graduate Program " in the horizontal list near the top of the page, you'll be taken to a short list of interdisciplinary grad programs at the University of Washington. Click on the name of any program in the list to see a list of courses. You also can go to any program's web page by way of this directory: http://www.washington.edu/admin/directory/ Here's the list of interdisciplinary grad programs: Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs * Biomolecular Structure and Design (BMSD) * Graduate School (GRDSCH) * Global Trade, Transportation & Logistics (GTTL) * Individual PhD (IPHD) * Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) * Museology (MUSEUM) * Near and Middle Eastern Studies (N & MES) * Neurobiology and Behavior (NEUBEH) * Nutritional Science (NUTR) * Quantitative Ecology and Resource Management (QERM) * Quaternary Sciences (QUAT) Of course, that's not an exhaustive list. I work in the International Studies Program, where BA and MA candidates (i.e., undergrad and grad) take interdisciplinary courses in a program with professors from across the social sciences and dipping into the humanities. Most students in the MA program are working toward a concurrent degree from a professional school (e.g., Law, Marine Affairs, Public Health, Forestry, etc.). The undergrad major has one course cross-listed with Physics (it's taught by a Physics professor), and we're considering adding an undergraduate track combining natural sciences and social sciences. I realize your request for information may not have intended to elicit any of the above, but....it's what I know. If you're interested in IT, I guess the relevant units of the U where I work would be either the Information School, which looks as if a student could build in interdisciplinality: ---- Students may petition any course to count towards the major elective requirement using an online petition form. Whenever possible, students are encouraged to submit course petitions prior to taking the class. You will be asked to provide: * The course which you would like to have considered (include course prefix, number, and title) * A brief explanation of how this course supports your area of study and why you believe the course should count toward your major electives requirement * A Catalog Course Description (see http://www.washington.edu/students/crscat/) * The syllabus from the course (a current syllabus is acceptable, but the syllabus from the course you took is preferred) * Your full name, UW ID number, and contact information * Your expected date of graduation ------ or Computer Science and Engineering (in the College of Engineering). Here's a page of welcome for prospective undergraduate students: http://www.cs.washington.edu/education/ugrad/prospective/ Oh, and there's also Technical Communication (also within the Coll. of Eng.), which seems to have the same kind of individual interdisciplinality as the Info School. Students take a list of courses within the Tech Comm program but also are required to choose an " area of specialization " and find courses to build up knowledge in that are. A quote from this page http://www.uwtc.washington.edu/programs/bstc/gradreqs.php : Possible areas of specialization include: * Human factors or usability * The psychology of technical communication * Instructional design * Science writing * An engineering discipline * A natural science * Computer science Jane
