Guest guest
Hello everyone..and thanks to all who e-mailed and called me while I was in the hospital. I got home yesterday and can honestly say I feel wonderful. Dr. Heiss at NIH did my surgery and we are both pleased with the results. I had a Cine MRI on Monday before coming home, and the difference is absolutlely amazing. Before surgery, it was so tight in my neck that there was almost no flow of csf to my head. After looking at the films after surgery, I told my son it looked as if you could drive a truck through there now! All kinds of flow going on! The immediate post op period was tough, of course, but it's hard to describe how much better I feel now than before surgery. It's like a whole different person! I would highly recommend Dr. Heiss to anyone looking for a neurosurgeon! They are conducting a study at NIH, and you have to be accepted into the study for him to do the surgery, but it is well worth it. Thanks again to all who have kept my spirits up these last weeks I'll let you all know how it goes! Jean
