Guest guest
Shirley Trusky and I are sisters, so you may get some of the same information. My Mom is 79 years old. She was a LPN, worked in state hospitals and nursing homes. She was very active in her church, always went 3 times a week and was also active in the senior group. Now she does not go to the senior group, she sometimes misses one of the services on Sunday and has not been going on Wednesday evening. She has had 3 UTI's in the past 4 months, pneumonia and flu. She is very content to sit and watch TV or read. She doesn't even want to make her bed or do the few dishes that she occasionally has. She is in an assisted living facility, which she really likes. She has frequent hallucinations and gets confused over the time of day. I am the oldest by 5 minutes, I am a twin, but she lives an hour 1/2 away. I spend a lot of time taking her to the doctors, and taking care of her finances, so I see her more often than the rest of the family. It is increasing hard for me to see her become someone I don't know. I can't go to her for advice, because she can't always understand. She can be very argumentative and accusatory. I don't know much about LBD, so any information of experiences that anyone wishes to share with me will be appreciated. Is there a time frame as to what stages they usually go through or does it depend on the person? Looking forward to hearing from you and for advice and support!!
