, Carolyn and all,

We had a big discussion about this a couple of months ago...you

may want to go to the archives and read what was said also the 800 # to

medic Alert is there somewhere if you do not have it. I have a medic Alert

Bracelet.........I had them put on there Chiari 1 Malformation, Klippel

Feil syndrome, take extra care with head, neck, and spine.......The

bracelet has a 800 number that emts or docs can call to get additional info

ie; my neurosurgeons name and number, my decompression surgery date and the

area that my KFS affects. It is a good idea to get one...if you are ever in

a car crash or accident and you become unconcious......they will at least

know to take extra special care of the head, neck and spine.

((((hugs)))) Sam

I had posted privately something similar to what Sam said to Carolyn,

but just thought of something to add.

The first day after Rick got the bracelet his employers noticed

immediately. They treat him alittle differently now......hard to

explain, but it's almost as if they take his condition more seriously!

(Although I must say they've been great throughout, already!)

Wendi -- New Mexico Husband, Rick, w/ ACM I, syringomyelia, cervical

stenosis, lumbar stenosis, decompressed 7/98.
