Jill,

GFCF was a Godsend for controlling seizures for my daughter. She is also on

lamictal but it does NOT prevent seizures if she eats any amount of gluten or

casein. They are like a withdrawal event and occur 12-16h after she has an

infraction.

definitive and we are treating as if he's positive) kid with seizures is having

more breakthrough absence seizures. He's on Lamictal. I think because it's a

food-centered holiday, I'm obsessing on what to feed him. :)

No g-tube. I need tasty, kid-friendly food ideas. He tends to like things that are intensely flavored: mustard, olives stuffed with garlic. My initial attempts not going well. He is a serious sweets craver, as well. My son is on a low carb diet. Made all seizures dissappear also reduced high lactic acid in the blood. He has been given Ross's Low carb formula but we make a homemade enteral formula that we prefer. Is your child on a G-tube? I have our g-tube formula that I can share with you or a lot of eat by mouth food ideas. Interesting. My son is mostly off wheat and I caved to his request for a burrito last week and the following day was awful--3 absence seizures that I saw and absolutely horrid behavior. He's been very erratic over the past week. I was trting to decide if I should change my stance on dairy so I can push the milk fats. Hmmmm. I can't afford anything fancier than what I can get my hands on locally and I don't trust raw dairy in a kid with suspected Lyme. Compliance with this kid is tough! I'll re-double my efforts. Was planning a completely GFCF thanksgiving anyway. Thanks,JillTyped on elvish keyboardSender: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Date: Wed, 24 Nov 2010 01:46:08 -0000To: <BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism >ReplyTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Subject: Re: Atkins for seizures? Have you heard the story about when the cowboys began moving cattle up north from Texas in the 1800s? The northern cattle when exposed to the Texas and Ok cattle would become ill and die. They eventually learned that it was Babsiea and the cattle in Tx and Ok had an immunity to it that northern cattle didnt. I dont do anything but raw milk for my son and I make his kefir from it. Use it in his smoothies with raw eggs from my chickens etc. I have treated him for Lyme over the yrs also. If you have a local farmer that isnt stressing their cows and they stay in a pasture to graze the chance of your son getting lyme from them is slim, the immunity it offers is more of a plus. Just food for fodder. TametInteresting. Tamet

Where did you get this information about cattle?

I am kind of curious how they knew about Babsiea was the issue.

Do you have an online link?

Thanks
