2nd Child with Positional Plagiocephaly

Hello All.

I am new to this group, but not to positional plagiocephaly.

My son Austin graduated from his DOC Band in December of 2001. We are

blessed to have son #2, and being very familiar with positional

plagiocephaly, we were aggressive right from the beginning about

varying his sleep position, giving him tummy time, etc.

And at almost 4 months of age guess where we are......with a referral

to another craniofacial specialist to evaluate the flatness on the

back of his head.

We are resigned that we will probably be back into another DOC Band

(we were happy with the treatment and results from Austin's Band). I

guess my question is...is there anyone else out there with multiple

kids (not twins) with positional plagiocephaly? We are really baffled

that we are back with another flat head, when we have done everything

that is recommended from the get-go!
