Th 1 turned off and Th 2 on overdrive...autoimmunity as a result of the immune system recognizing foreign material in cells and trying then to eradicate it. Autoimmunity is when the immune system does not recognize self vs. non self and the reason it does not is because the cells have been invaded. IN MY NAIVE WAY of looking at things....We do know from Erol Fikrig's research at Yale that Bb or Borrellia signals to the tick to encapsulate it so that it avoids detection by the immune system. Ann Corson MD also states Bb has infiltrated macrophages....lots more reading to do.... http://www.google.com/search?q=Dr+Koshiol+and+Waldenstroms+macrogobulinemia & rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox & ie=UTF-8 & oe=UTF-8 & sourceid=ie7 & rlz=1I7GGLL_en#hl=en & rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox & rlz=1I7GGLL_en & & sa=X & ei=2jgCTcf_NcSjnQe7qrTlDQ & ved=0CBIQBSgA & q=Dr+Koshiol+and+Waldenstrom%27s+macroglobulinemia & spell=1 & fp=c9f200e8d6433b2a
Guest guest
In the new book, The Age of Autism, it talks about the very first person with autism, how he was treated for arthritis and many of his autism symptoms decreased. Also, the authors talk about how syphilis became a severe problem in only those who also had toxin exposures, such as mercury. This supports the view I am still going with, that Lyme plus mercury is likely the leading cause of autism. (Note that Syphilis and Lyme are very similar.) I think Dr. K still has the most likely answers, saying that in addition to Lyme and mercury, electrosmog and mold toxin exposures are involved. Of course, numerous immune suppressing factors are involved. There definitely is an auto-immune element as well. It's some kind of cycle that exists, that sets the immune system off into a reactive state that is too small to cause severe symptoms seen in encephalitis and menningitis, but enough to cause chronic symptoms, that may stay constant without worsening. To stay in a constant state of disabling symptoms without worsening is the peculiar thing that lends to the diagnoses we call developmental and psychiatric. But, the symptoms do wax and wane which means that they have to have a high pathogen cause. Since toxins, such as aluminum, are reportedly used in vaccines to trigger the immune system, it's easy to see their role in auto-immunity. There was a recent report done that showed that corpses still had aluminum at the injection sites of their vaccines and went on to talk about the Hep B vaccine and how it's related to triggering conditions such as Chronic Fatigue. Some say that the protein markers (how cells are detected by the immune system) actually leave the Lyme bacteria and remain after the bacteria is killed, keeping the immune system triggered. I can believe these protein markers are triggering the immune system, but the amount of people claiming improvements upon long-term treatments for bacteria supports that the pathogens are actually still alive. I also think that the pathogens are using the intracellular mode to survive the treatments. What crazy times we live in. Soft drinks, canned foods, and other food packaging were not made from aluminum until the late 70's, which is about the same time that ADHD started appearing. I can't help but think that aluminum is definitely a major contributor to many chronic illnesses.
