Guest guest
Hi Krassi- my son did bite his nails for many yrs but he was never diagnosed OCD and Im not sure that qualiies him. Is there testing for this- Im sure I sound really ignorant now but I dont know much about this issue and would like to. He did have a strep infection in his gut that has since cleared. Hopefully someone else has tried this probio that has a case more sim to yours so that you can feel more comfortable giving it to your son. take care, To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Fri, December 3, 2010 12:45:19 PMSubject: Re: Supernatant Thank you for your answers. Guest guest
we had moments of OCD but strep was never really a big issue for us. Guest guest
We are treating for PANDAS using Zithromax, but my son actually does not have much OCD now. We lived through those tough days of his OCD a couple years ago. Treating him for Bartonella infection with high dose Nutramedix Cumanda greatly helped.I have an unopened bottle of Supernatant in my refrigerator; I am a bit hesitant to open it to use. I have started my son with another probiotics product of BioImmersion called Cranberry Pomegranate Synbiotic Formula. He does well on this one. The difference is that Supernatant contains multiple strains of live Streptococcus bacteria, and the Synbiotic Formula only contains the cell debris and metabolites of S. thermophilus.Limin--http://www.healthbylimin.com/Young Living Distributor # 1111136"Follow those who seek the truth, but flee from those who have found it."-- Unknown originwe had moments of OCD but strep was never really a big issue for us.Roseann Supernatant > > > Hi all, Recently one of the new probiotics that was prescribed for my son by his > doctor is Supernatant by BioImmersion Inc (tested with ART testing). Guest guest
Krassi, just for clarification: Cranberry Pomegranate Synbiotic Formula contains the cell debris and metabolites of Streptococcus, but not live Streptococcus bacteria. Guest guest
Thanks for the info Krassi! I can undersand why you would be cautious. sorry I couldnt be of more help. I hope you have success w the new perscriptions once you feel comfortable with them. Maybe you can talk to Dr G again about this one.. BTW - My son is doing really well on the parasite protcol which is really a relief. Albenza has been easier than Ivermectin so far and next week he will start Alinia which we've had before so I know a bit about what to expect. We are doing a blood test to check liver and kidney function on Mon- but all seems to be well. He still is eating in the manner which is typical for him and hasnt shown a loss of appetite. If I notice anything out of the ordinary I now feel comfortable w lowering the dose w/o calling the Dr first. Just hoping to ease your mind a bit. Maybe you can start after the holidays~ To: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Fri, December 3, 2010 2:26:28 PMSubject: Re: Supernatant ,We haven't done any conventional testing for strep (blood), but only through Zyto testing and ART testing. However, when we were still consulting with HCH (Houston sequential homeopaths that we were consulting with for 1.5 years) they told me my son has strep based on his symptoms - his obsessive behavior that in fact started once we started clearing his vaccines (for instance he is very obsessive with 3 of his toys - he always holds them in his hands even when he sleeps and he likes all the doors to be closed). So basically I think anybody who has some strange behaviours is suspected that has chronic strep. We haven't addressed this problem with Dr. K's protocol yet, but I am extremely cautious not to make it worse.HTH,Krassi>> >
