Guest guest
Just adding to our Borrelia horror stories...Surprisingly, it looks like my wife gave me lyme, too. I did an online $58 WB with LabCorp (can't afford a 4th family Igenix test) without a doctor's request and got the results back in 2 days. My IGG is positive for band 41 and my IGM is positive for band 23. Those are the only positives, but since 23 is lyme specific, I guess I've joined the borrelia party. Looking back now, I may have had it since we married in '95. As I mentioned before, she had vaginismus, so we didn't consummate the marriage until 2003 for 2 weeks, when our lyme-induced ASD son was conceived. That was the only period of time that we had sexual intercourse. On the honeymoon, though, we fooled around without "going all the way" due to her condition. Perhaps, she infected me then somehow (bodily fluids?). A very short time after the honeymoon, I developed terrible re-occurring ear infections (and bronchitis once during this time) that would resolve for awhile with different abx, but then come back. It took several months before my ears finally cleared up. I remember getting another ear infection 2 or 3 times more over the next 13 years. Last year, I had sinusitis twice. It must manifest itself as bacterial infections in me, since the other symptoms haven't really shown up. A couple of weeks ago, I felt a sore throat coming on and took some zith for 3 days. The sore throat was gone in a few hours and maybe the abx stirred up my lyme antibodies, especially band 23.Anyway, it looks like I'll start treating myself to get this crap out of my system. I've read good things about roxithromycin from Europe, so I think I'll start my unwelcome journey with this abx...
