Guest guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Share Posted May 8, 2002 Yes, Inge, I really do think they were that much. I think they soak those potatoes in oil before they cook them. That would add a lot of points. I don't know how things are made at restaurants actually but I do know that they do lots of " creative " things to them to make them taste wonderful. Take steaks for example - can you imagine the oil in those marinades to make them so tender? Yikes. I'm even suspect of " grilled " chicken at a restaurant! I guess next time you need to munch on something while you're waiting for your friends is do a bowl of soup (not cream based) and/or a salad with dressing on the side. Actually the soup would fill you up more, but perhaps just having SOMETHING in you would help. Perhaps keep a small bar of something (like a Pria bar or granola bar) in your purse would help and you could quietly pick bits of it off when no one is looking at the restaurant while you sip away at some lemon water.
