If you are interested in information regarding Texas Out of Hospital Do

Not Resuscitate (OOHDNR), visit the TDH EMS website's DNR page at

http://www.tdh.state.tx.us/hcqs/ems/dnrhome.htm

If your friend is worried about resuscitative efforts inside the

hospital, the OOHDNR does not apply. Questions regarding advanced

directives or medical power of attorney should be directed to the

hospital staff. At the bottom of the TDH OOHDNR page (above link) is a

useful link to a Department of Human Services page regarding the

different flavors of advanced directives.
