Guest guest
Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find any low carb tortillas other than order them through the La Tortilla factory? All I can find in the stores is the Mission Whole Wheat tortillas at Wal-Mart. They contain 26g of carbohydrate (which includes 2g of fiber and 3g of sugar. Someone (I don't remember who) said that they ordered from someone and they received them quicker and the shipping costs were less than when ordering from the factory. Thanks, Tootie P.S. I had a very busy day today. I watched (listened) to 4 sermons on the TV this morning, went to a 3 way birthday " steak cook out " this afternoon (one of the birthday kids was 101 years YOUNG and had skipped out and went to Louisiana), then went to church tonight with one of my sons and his son. I'm too pooped to pop! Guess I'd better go check my blood sugar again. *shuddering by just thinking about it this time*.............( Re: Egg salad sandwhiches....... Hi, Pat. I love egg salad sandwiches, too!! I recently bought some low carb, La Tortilla, wheat tortillas. They only have 6 carbs each. I put egg salad into two of them, rolled them up, and microwaved them for about 1 minute. Yummy.......and low carb.

Jerry Steg was the one who posted the info I believe. Guest guest
Good for you, Pat! I just don't understand doctors who say " it's not important to test " .. with advice like that,.no wonder so many diabetics are in deep doodoo! Anyway, I'm glad you Saw the Light (smile)...and as you're finding out, we all react differently to foods so the only way to know for sure is to test and eat, test and eat...you'll even find out that you can handle certain foods at certain times and not others. That was a surprise to me...I'd been told the Pure D-Lite (Ross) chocolate bars were no carb and no problem for many diabetics...well, it was a small problem for me at lunch -- could only eat a half one with no problem -- and a Big Problem for me at dinner. Go figure.
