Guest guest
I need some input. I have been on 20 mg of HC since April and was doing really well. I have been going back and forth between 4 and 4.5 grains of Armour. I don't get hyper symptoms on the 4.5 grains but I get the pounding heart and have some trouble falling asleep. I also get constipated. I have been adding in another 5 mg of HC at around 12:30 everyday. I have now noticed when I go to bed at night my body is trembling or shaking, hard to explain. Do I need more HC? My labs on the 4.5 grains were FT3 457 (230-420), FT4 1.6 (0.8-1.8), TSH 0.02 (0.40-5.50) and my antibodies were 799 (<35). Any suggestions? Also, it seems that everyone is on HC longer than the 3-6 months that I thought was the rule of thumb, I guess it is individual to everyone. Plus, I am under EXTREME stress! Guest guest
Sue you say you were on 20mg h/c and then you added 5mg at 12.30. So at what times are you taking the 20mg? I hope you're not taking it all at once Lynda Need more HC? >I need some input. I have been on 20 mg of HC since April and was > doing really well. Your thyroid MUST be good for the adrenals to be able to heal. I was on HC for 18 months and have tapered off successfully about a month ago. My adrenals are HEALED! Guest guest
No, I take 10 mg at 6 am and 10 mg at 10 am. > Sue > you say you were on 20mg h/c and then you added 5mg at 12.30. Guest guest
I take 10 mg at 6 am along with 3 grains Armour, 10 mg HC at 10 am, 5 mg HC at 12:30 pm, then 1.5 grains of Armour at 2 pm. If my FT3 is over the range and my FT4 is good but the antibodies are sky high, do I need more Armour? Will my FT3 skyrocket even more and is that ok? I have not had any problems raising the Armour until I hit the 4.5 grain mark but like I said the only problem I am having is the pounding heart and the heartrate over 100. Guest guest
Sue, I am interested in the answer to this also. My antibodies have doubled to 1500 since taking armour and HC. I don't understand it, but there it is. My tsh is suppressed at .008, so I don't understand why my antibodies keep going up. conny > over the range and my FT4 is good but the antibodies are sky high, do > I> >
Guest guest
>>No, I take 10 mg at 6 am and 10 mg at 10 am.<< Ok HC is out of your system in four hours. By taking two successive high doses you are shutting down your ACTH so that later in the day you run totally out of cortisol. I would suggest trying 10-5-5 in four hour increments. Try this before adding more to your dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Hopefully, someone will chime in with an answer. I'm not sure what my antibodies where before the Armour, can't find that they tested it anywhere in my bloodwork other than when I was first diagnosed in 1995. > Sue, I am interested in the answer to this also. Guest guest
maybe you could look into taking high doses of vitamin D which is said to help reduce antibodies. my holistic doc recommends Biotics Research Bio-D Mulsion. it comes in 2000 iu and 400 iu. originally my doc recommended me taking the 2000 iu twice a day with calcium. Guest guest
Thanks, Sammie! I was wanting to look into taking Vit. D, what's one more pill to pop with all my others! Guest guest
actually the vitamin d listed below is liquid form. so i just put a little drop on my calcium pill, since vitamin helps absorbs the calcium. if you can google autoimmune disease and vitamin D, you'll probably find more info. i think there is an article on the dr. mercola site somewhere. it goes into the theory that people who are in the northern, less sunny states typically have a much higher rate of autoimmune disease. i'm a fair red headed california girl who managed to stay out of the sun much of my life thinking i was doing the right thing. oh well........ www.mercola.com/ SAMMIE Sue Riddle wrote: Thanks, Sammie!
