For those of you that have anal fissures with your vuvladynia---

how on earth did you get them to heal? I have tried everything. Been

to the doc a few times. I get it healed and then it just reopens!

Using metamucil/hydrocortisone/stool softener and lots of water.

Thanks,

Lynn

How about just some Golden Seal or St. swort/Calendula salve from the

health food store - better than pharmacuedicals, in my opinion. Also, for me

they are caused by scratching, mostly at night - is that what yours are from?

Mine came just after trying birth control pills for a hormone

imbalance---along with a nice flare of yeast! Makes me wonder if the

two are connected some how. I got constipated from them.

Golden Seal sounds good and so does the Calendula--I think I will mix

them both together and give it a shot! I know that they have

Calendula salves for baby's bottoms.

Thanks for the ideas! Tired of trying the chemical approach!

How long did it take for yours to heal each time? I may not be

giving

mine long enough to heal before stopping the treatment--this time I

will go quite a while past the symptoms clearing up.

hey Lynn - I usually catch them right at the begining because I rinse my

vagina w/water after peeing and when I have even the slightest beginning of a

fissure, it burns like hell. Usually from that point if I use the golden

seal salve it goes away within 3-5 days. If you do not catch it so early (as

occasionally I donnot) it could take up to several weeks. Also helpful is

trying to keep your stools (shit) as soft as possible with LOTS of fluids

(water's the best!) about a gallon a day and lots of fruits and vegetables .

.. . .good luck, jennifer
