Guest guest
Hi Tigger, What kind of job do you have that you have to work such long hours? Don't mean to be nosey, just wondering. You poor thing! I used to have a really difficult time knowing when to stop pushing myself. When I pushed too hard I'd end up getting really sick, normally with pnenmonia and have to stay in the hospital. Then it was weeks getting my strength back. Just can't win. Of course right now I'd just like to find a job! Kathleen
Guest guest
Kathleen, I work at a sod farm I not only run the office.... I am the office. My regular hours are M-F 8-5 (without a lunch break). Saturdays are usually 7-12. However, when it's busy there are many nights I don't leave until 7 or 8. And many Saturdays I'm there until 3-4 in the afternoon. I do this from April -December then I have 3 months off and collect unemployment. My boss has hired someone to help me this year.... I'm hoping it work out. In July it will be 11 years that I've been there. In addition to the fibro and CFS.... let's face it, I'm 11 years older than I used to be. And before anyone tells me they"have" to get you a break for lunch... only counts when there are so many people in the company and doesn't count for agriculture. Why do I stay... they pay me well and I love my customers. I'm also hoping that I will only have to work every other Saturday since she hired someone and maybe we can cut my hours. We'll see.
