Guest guest
why did i always think sugar cravings was a thyroid symptom and salt cravings was adrenal? is sugar cravings an adrenal symptom too??? SAMMIE anewkirk30 wrote: Okay, I'm trying switching to 5 mg 4 x a day to see if this helps my adrenals at night. Today is my first day. I noticed that you said in another post that sugar cravings are adrenal. I have huge sugar cravings, always have. Could this mean my adrenals are in worse shape than I thought? My saliva tests showed mild adrenal fatigue, but maybe it's worse than I realized. I was having trouble with getting my Armour dose correct and couldn't get to a dose where I wasn't hyper or hypo. My afternoon temps show 98.6. They just fall in the evening. Should I stay at my current Armour dose and hope the change with adrenal support helps my hypo symptoms? Or should I try raising? Guest guest
I have both of these in the very worst way. I wonder 20 mg a day will be enough HC for me. I will keep my eyes on my temps to see. I'm having a late afternoon slump already. Someone on here mentioned Deltacortril, Sammie maybe???? What is the difference between that and HC??? Guest guest
I crave sugar so much that I can shop and just buy all candy, ice cream, cokes, etc. This is a huge difference in my eating habits since I was a person who swam 2 1/2 miles a day among other activities. I always like the occasional snickers bar and dr. pepper, but this is ridiculous. I put on 8 lbs in the past two weeks and my weight has steadily gone up up up. I used to weigh 128 at my heaviest, now am 162 and still craving sweets and potatoe chips. -- Re: Advice needed on HC dose/sugar cravings Oh this does describe me – have craved salty things all my life………..but don’t pass up the sugar stuff if it is around – just another symptom of bad adrenals I guess………I’m so hoping my spit test will show something. Guest guest
I have tomatoes growing on my deck; I bring them in, a little warm from the sun, put LOTS of sea salt on them, TO DIE FOR. SO YUMMY! Somebody said if you really love the taste, than your body probably needs it. I know mine does. But I do like it on food much better than in water. Guest guest
I just don't see how I can take any more cortef, I have been on 30 mgs for months. I do take sea salt and I eat two eggs for breakfast with a high whey protein drink. Is it possible I have too much cortisol now? My temps are 98.6 now at half a grain Armour bid. -- Re: Re: Advice needed on HC dose/sugar cravings >>and still craving sweets and potatoe chips.<, enough sea salt will cure the potato chip cravings and eating high protein will help alot with the sugar cravings. Guest guest
At least a fourth teaspoon daily. Guest guest
i do that twice a day. maybe doing that would help instead of thinking to raise your adrenal meds. other folks do 1/2 teaspoon twice a day. and i guess you need more if you ingest a lot of potassium. the salt cravings ALWAYS do me in. sometimes i dream about taco bell. hahah. i got up this morning and threw a new bag of chips away. i do not need to come home hungry and delve into that!!! Guest guest
It is unlikely you have too much as taking HC will lower your ACTH which is what tells your adrenals to make cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Do you think the sea salt was the major factor in helping you with water retention? was it after starting the sea salt that you noticed the most improvement in fluid retention? thanks Lainey a message dated 8/28/2006 7:08:48 PM Eastern Daylight Time, artisticgroomer@... writes: On sea salt you could take more... Guest guest
I don't know how to interpret my 24 hour urine test and I don't think my doc does either. My cortisol was in the normal range but some metabolites were low. I wonder if the growth hormone is causing a problem. I feel like giving up. Something is making me fat and crave sugar. My urine T3 was normal also. You get a summary but only certain things are listed as being significant for being low. Testosterone was one and tetrhydro-desoxycortisol was low, androsterone, etiocholanolone, DHEA, 11 (OH) androsterone, 17 ketosteroids, pregnanediol, pregnanetriol. All of the above were really really low. I am totally confused. -- Re: Re: Advice needed on HC dose/sugar cravings It is unlikely you have too much as taking HC will lower your ACTH which is what tells your adrenals to make cortisol. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV My Ebay Jewelry Store http://stores.ebay.com/valeriescrystalcreations http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

Guest guest
Val: I am on testosterone creme. I am going to the hyperbaric chamber for the next 3 days and hopefully that will make a difference. My symptoms could be from Lyme. My temps are back up to normal and I started using my mercury thermometer since I know the readings will be valid. I might now have s. There is an endocrinologist in Houston named Arem or something like that who has a book out on thyroid problems. I have not read the book yet and the doc is booked for months, but I might go there for testing. The low etiocholanolone would cause anemia. I also got blood work done last week that I am waiting on. No one has ever tested my ferritin level or tested me for thyroid antibodies. I did forget to ask to be checked for growth hormone antibodies but in all likelihood, my problems are from destruction of the various glands by Lyme. -- Re: Re: Advice needed on HC dose/sugar cravings >>My urine T3 was normal also.
