chiari malformation -- help please

I know this is a little off-topic but I know some members have experience with

this or knowledge of this condition. My sister-in-law has just been diagnosed

with chiari malformation after being admitted to emergency this last week with

severe headaches and neck pain. She underwent numerous MRI's and CT scans and

this is the diagnosis. I am on the other side of the country from her. Can

someone please direct me to some good informative sites for this condition. I

have stressed to my brother to get more than one opinion before considering any

surgery. Are there any lists out there on good NS for this condition, I am in

Canada (they are in Toronto). I am also thinking she should have a full spine

MRI to rule out anything in her spine contributing to the chiari? She has

suffered from mental illness of some type for years, diagnosed with anxiety,

post partum depression, bipolar disease -- can any of this be related to chiari?
