Guest guest
So a friend of mine recruited me to work for WW as a receptionist/weigher. I was excited to do this as I hoped it would help to keep me on goal this time.... I was slated to begin tomorrow, as a matter of fact. Now, though, I cannot. No one denies that I am a lifetime member; we all have my number. BUT, no one can find my record from TWENTY years ago (almost) that proves I lost 10 lbs. to get to goal and get my lifetime membership. Can't hire anyone who hasn't lost ten pounds. So, though I DID lose way more than this, and though we all know this, nope, can't hire you. And the town where I lost the weight has my lifetime number, etc., but no records beyond that.... I feel like I'm talking to government bigwigs! So far I have talked with the WW offices in North Carolina (where the problem originates), Atlanta, Kansas City, and New York (who I'm waiting to hear from). Any suggestions on what else to do??? TIA, jana apex, nc _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
Hmm, gain 10 pounds and then LOSE it? Just joking. How's this... Find pictures with yourself showing you at your HEAVIEST and then at your lightest. And then show them. Or, can you get an affidavit from the doctor? Tell them that since THEY lost the records, THEY shouldn't make you have to prove this stuff. And the pictures should speak for themselves. And suggest that perhaps you WILL gain and lose the 10 pounds..... Some folks are just mindeless bureaucrats. > > Now, though, I cannot. Guest guest
I'm not positive, but didn't you HAVE to have a certain amount of weight to lose years ago in order to EVEN join WW? I seem to recall it being marketed as a " serious " weight loss program, not one for someone who simply wanted to lose a couple of pounds. They should take your word for it since you have proof that you're a lifetime member, but I don't know how to push the issue...unfortunately. Maybe someone else will have a good idea about it. Good luck! Guest guest
I actually thought, " Well, they want me to gain ten pounds and lose it AGAIN, being sure to pay each time again! " I asked about getting medical records. Nope, won't work. It's the weekly meeting records they want. sigh....... jana >Just joking. How's this... Guest guest
Apparently you could become a lifetime member by losing only five pounds; you must have lost ten pounds to work for them. Trust me--I've gained and lost far more than ten pounds since I first made lifetime! BUT, not always going to weekly meetings, though usually with the WW program. Sigh......again! jana > >I'm not positive, but didn't you HAVE to have a certain amount of weight >to lose years ago in order to EVEN join WW?
