Guest guest
Hello Ilene, 1. female 2. 26 3. My mother is a high-functioning BP 4. She is 57 5. Alive 6. I first heard about it from a friend a little over 2 years ago but didn't put it together. Heard about it more in depth from another friend last fall, and finally started looking stuff up about it (including joining this group) this past Christmas Eve. So that makes it not even 2 months that I've known about it. Wow .... feels like a lot longer. It has been a relevation in my life.

My father is in his 60's, I have heard about bpd but never really understood what it was until the last couple of weeks when I was researching some stuff for my brother who divorcing some stripe of narcissist/sociopath and I read a list of criteria for bpd and my father fits it to a 'tee'. I was posting on the other list until I realized that that one is for mostly partners so I came here and signed onto this one. It has been very helpful reading the posts here.
