Guest guest
HI, all! Well, I'm down another 2 pounds and is down another 3...so that's 10 pounds gone for me and 23 for him! Yea! We're doing great on the program... I consistently have enough points to have a treat (a soda, or maybe a little candy or something) at least once a week without going over points, and we're learning more every day what we like to eat and how to make it work in the program. For example, we were having a major " issue " with salad dressing.... HATES...I mean LOATHES any kind of " diet " dressing... so he just works around it...he adds less of his regular dressing and then shakes it all up so it coats the salad really well.... I feel the same way about diet soda, so I drink the regular and make sure I've banked for it. We also had a good lesson in the fact that WW is NOT a diet...it's a way of teaching you how to eat. On the spur of the moment we went to Burger King to get a breakfast sandwich one day. After we got home, I went to look up the points and found that no place listed what I got...so there I was, beside myself, trying to compare biscuit to muffin, sausage to bacon, egg to no egg, Mc's to BK, etc... Then I went on dwlz.com and found that her points for some things were 4-6 points HIGHER than in the book.... I was cursing her and the book writers up and down for confusing me...LOL...when suddenly it dawned on me.... It didn't really matter if that sandwich was 9 pts or 12 pts or 16 pts.... what mattered is that I had chosen to eat a fatty food for breakfast and now I need to go easy on food the rest of the day! .... Balance, Moderation.... these are the tools that WW gives us.... not the ability to count points for 20 more years... but the ability to know what guidelines we need to place on ourselves to reach our goals..... Have a great weekend, all! le
