Rick,

While I certainly understand how you feel, we're dealing with human nature

here. Doesn't always make sense. Your wife loves you, I'm sure, and wants

you always to be around. But the call to junk can sometimes be hard to

ignore. You, however, have a good reason to ignore that call, even if your

wife doesn't.

Let me explain it another way. This comparison may not be good, it *is*

early, and I've only had one shot of caffeine.

I'm allergic to strawberries. I'm not just allergic as in a few hives, I'm

swollen throat, trip to the hospital, endo-tracheal tube, adrenalin shot, 4

day stay allergic to strawberries. I have never asked anyone to change what

they eat because of that. My daughter recently bought some big, red

strawberries. I had to run up to my eyrie (I live in her attic right now)

and take benedryl so I wouldn't pass out. Strawberry fumes make me sick. I

have every reason to leave strawberries alone, just as you have every reason

to leave the junk food alone. If you don't want the reactions, don't eat the

food that will give you the reactions.

I don't want to sound like a (begins with B), but for those of us with

sensitivities, it's up to us to avoid whatever we're sensitive to, and we

shouldn't ask others to change because of us.

By the way, I got on my father about his heart disease and diabetes. All it

ever got me was smacked across the room, even as an adult.

Debbie
