I am thinking of purchasing the wand but also want to re introduce Quantum Neurology for my son . There isn't any Quantum Neurologists in Michigan so I have to go to Ohio which entails a lot of expense, hotels,food, the treatments, etc. We had Quantum Neurology sessions last year in August, September, and October before my husband got sick and needed a heart valve replacement last December. My husband finally went back to work last week. So we will have a paycheck again. You ladies are SO WONDERFUL!! Any input would be great!! I wish I could tell you that his speech has blossomed (this is my biggest dream these days), but so far no difference. On the other hand I am not sure if I use the wand to full extend, because I use it only as per the instructions, but still don't know how to focus on the speech part. I wand it over his fingers, toes, chakras and then I focus on back of his head where connects with the neck, because from Chinese acupuncture points I know that there is the point that help with speech. But again - this is just my basic knowledge. I am waiting to get the CD with instructions that I heard Dr. G is making and hope then I will be more clear what to do..I believe the wand does things, because when I point the top close to my hand after minute or so I feel warmth, the question is to know how to use it more effectively and I think this part I am still lacking. Guest guest Posted September 2, 2010 Report Share Posted September 2, 2010 Hi there, I am using the wand on my dd, who has apraxia.We work with two different SLT: one is doing PROMT with oral-motor exercises and the other is working on connecting speech (smooth talking, no chapped up syllables). The first SLT gives us homework for a week and we practice at least three times a day. I do wand my dd like you twice a day : in the morning and night . Plus I use wand tapping on all * speech muscles*. At night time my dh wands her and I do stuff with her like blowing a horn, holding a biting block and making a sound at the same time, drinking through the straw,etc. I think the wand make her muscles stronger and she is progressing much faster than before. Both of SLTs are really pleased with my dd progress. I also wand left temporal lobe (above left ear) b/c that area is responsible for speech. Natasha.
