Here's one to try, easier than going to the gym...next time you go to

the grocery store, pick up 15 lbs of sugar or flour, a little under

your 17 lbs, but you'll get an idea what you HAD been lugging around

and how much lighter you are now!!

Makes you feel good about what you've accomplished!

Ooh, great idea Dolli. I don't know whether to be embarassed or proud of

the fact that I go to the gym more often than I go grocery

shopping....that's my husband's job -- one he LOVES!!! So let's all be

proud of EVERY LITTLE POUND we lost. When I read about all of your huge

weight losses, I get envious. But when somebody asks me what I've lost, and

I say, " 18 pounds " everyone is impressed. Sure, it's not the 50 total that I

NEED to lose, but it's sure better than weighing what I USED to weigh. I'm

stalling because after weighing 200 pounds -- my top weight ever and 20

pounds more than I did when I was pregnant with my second child -- being at

182 feels SOOO slim to me. It makes it kind of hard to stick to dieting.

But I did go back to the gym last night and was secretly proud when a lady

asked me how long I had been exercising, because she was on the machine next

to mine and was marvelling at how high a setting I had it on. Have to

remember getting to the goal is a journey and you don't get there by

standing still, you've got to keep on taking those little steps.
