Hello everyone,

I would like to ask the group for some help with a very important decision. I

read posts everyday, but almost never post. Sorry for lurking...I find this list

to have the smartest, most positive parents and get alot out of reading. So

thanks!

Some background: I am 5 months pregnant with 3rd child (a girl). 1st boy(6yo) is

basically NT but has anxiety and focus issues (mild ADHD?). 2nd (4yo) is

autistic, making slow steady recovery through herbs, supps, etc. I have not been

lab-tested for Lyme but do show markers for Borrelia and Bab, mycoplasma + other

coinfections in a kind of Zyto test (is actually a Voll machine). Both boys test

+ for selection of bugs through energy testing. #2's Igenix had a few + bands.

My husband tested positive for Borrelia via energy testing as well as through

Igenix (considered CDC positive). Is treating with antibiotics now with minimal

progress. His symptoms were mild to begin with (focus issues, fatigue -

seratonin and testosterone deficiencies most likely causes).

I don't really have difficult symptoms and never did. Mild things including cold

hands/feet, poor adrenal function, mild fatigue, had bout of periodontal disease

during #2 son, etc. I am working with a naturopath (with Voll machine) to stay

balanced throughout pregnancy and generally feeling pretty good. I am not taking

antibiotics or even herbs (but was taking herbs prior to finding out I was

pregnant). I am supporting adrenals, amino acids, B vits, D, minerals, fermented

CLO, digestion, etc. as warranted by energy testing. Also avoiding wheat, cow

milk, other foods determined problematic via Voll testing. I started actively

trying to detox and rebalance about 2 years ago.

When baby is born, I am not planning to vaccinate her. I do feel vaccines

triggered issues in both sons-- 2nd had flu shot while inside me, not Hg free,

and tanked after the MMR, Hib, HepA, etc. cocktail at 12 months after being

congested for 3 months. The 1st son started bowel issues after a round of shots

at 9 mo and seemed to get more irritable.

My opinion is that if properly balanced, the new girl will be able to fight off

bugs, or at least keep all in check. Without assault of excessive toxins or

immune triggers, and good digestion, I think chances are very good for no major

issues. I plan to work with the naturopath very early for her overall health

after she is born, including checking for bugs via Voll.

The Question: considering that I am not going to vaccinate, what about

breastfeeding? I know this can be an explosive topic, filled with opinion and

emotion. I have heard big no-nos about it when mom has Lyme, but I'd like to

consider it from a risk/benefit perspective. For optimal health, I believe

passing on antibodies through Bmilk would be advantageous. But obviously don't

want to pass on bad stuff that didn't get through placenta in the first place.

I'd like to explore different opinions further (based on observation or

research) and not decide based on fear.

Other Question: what kind of lab-testing is most recommended to determine baby's

lyme status (test placenta? cord blood? ) after she is born. What about testing

my milk composition (would Doctor's Data do that?).

For exploring the research and opinions of docs, are there videos/presentations

anyone can recommend (Dr. K for example explaining his reasoning for

recommending against it)? Any medical papers? I've read a few online discussing

spirochetes in Bmilk, incidence of issues in newborns when mom was infected

during pregnancy (got tick bite while pregnant), but do not feel there is enough

evidence to rule out bfeeding based on that, given all the benefits for overall

health. I'd love more scientific input.

Are there recommendations for ways to " clean up " bmilk? I've heard taking

chlorella until milk is green (Dr. K). Herbs or antibiotics to keep bugs

suppressed while nursing?

Final question: if I don't breastfeed, I am not keen on giving cow milk powder

or even soy powder based formula to her. Are there any recipes for a good bmilk

replacement? Goat milk is better? Some other concoction? I need to factor in the

complexity of making such a formula and the cost in order to make a final

decision.

I appreciate anyone's opinions on this matter. I am hoping some on the group can

point me to resources so I can make the most informed decision that feels right

in my heart.

Sorry for the very long post.

Many many thanks!
