Be aware on inhalers that there is definitely a technique to use. I thought they were useless until I began to use a spacer and then also changed med. If one isn't doing it for you there are many with different formulations that can make all the difference--really.

hi Mohan,yes, your symptoms do sound in keeping with bronch, and yes blood in sputum is not uncommon, especially if not treating infx. Blood may be an indicator there is underlying infx, but not always. Sometimes it can be from the hard coughing most of us do because of the sputum there, small capillaries break and ooze a little blood, not serious in itself, I'm told, tho can be alarming at times!hope this helps,joy hPS - have you been in the group a while I don't recognise your name

you can also search online for guidance on proper use as sometimes they don't tell us how. But my center puts everyone on albuterol until we have issues and then we can get switched. I moved to inhaled and neb xopenex and it made the world of difference. Good luck. Judy

Mohan what kind of inhaler are you using?

do you find albuterol helpful - it's actually more an asthma med,

rather than one that helps thin and loosen mucus.

Maybe that's why you don't find them so helpful? Also, unless

asthmatic a lot of people find it just gives them such bad shakes (my

heart rate goes thru the roof - doesn't help anything so I refuse to

take it!)
