Hi All -

I have some questions for those of you who use a cheapie laser pointer for

" laser acupuncture " treatments:

- Do you hold the pointer directly on the desired spot (firmly? or softly?) or

hold it some distance above skin?

- Is a (red light) 650nm wavelength o.k (max output of 5mW)?

Thanks!

Kim

Kim,

I'm really short on time right now, so don't have much time to look at the

details wavelength details of my pen from DrE, so forgive me for not answering

that part right now.

I did want to let you know how we used ours. She put a black tube with a whole

cut in one side just big enough to hold a vile. One of our viles was plain

water. Inserting this in front of the laser beam makes the beam go from a

" point " to a " line " beam. With the line beam you sweep. We were taught to sweep

7 times back & forth on an area (palms of hands, ears...many of the accupuncture

points...also liver, head while reading & doing his neurological excersizes. For

us the Lightworks was an upgrade so we rarely use ours anymore...I head to my

Lightworks instead. She also gave us homeopathic & other viles to insert & sweep

with the beam in the same manor. You can put an oil or herb on the skin & laser

it in for a deeper topical penetration using the " line " beam to push it in

further.

I do not have time to check this...but a couple of years ago we posted some on

this...I checked my informative posts spreadsheet & think it was either message

#2349 & 2362 (LIGHT/LED THERAPY); 6033(Protocols Excersizes and Tapping

Acupuncture Points -Limin) or 3107 ( answers some questions on Laser

Diodes & LED's)....check one of these out to see it this ? can be answered

further for you.

All My Best,

Rita
