Guest guest
Oh Yes, Janie! all those places!!!!!!!! No need for a bikini wax! I am glad I lost on my legs, as I had developed lymphedema, and if I shaved, I would have opened up more of those spots for the cellulitis. Feisty WHERE did you lose hair when you were most hypo?? Anybody here lose hair other than on your head when you were quite hypo?? I know Topper has talked about her legs. What about your underarms and another private place?? I have a friend who isn't losing her head hairs, but has lost her underarm, legs and other places. Janie, still learning!!
Guest guest
Interestingly enough, I have NEVER grown any hairs under my arms (armpits)....................hmmm.............as for the rest of me, mainly my legs...............no hairs at all on upper legs and bare patches on the rest of my legs........no loss of hair on head ...........Meleese ----- Original Message ----- Anybody here lose hair other than on your head when you were quite hypo?? Guest guest
I am very jealous of all of you who lost hair in other places than your head. Like , I gained some on my chest and in all sorts of all crazy places...me and my nair and my razors....
Guest guest
Sure.. embarrass me.... I'm not gonna get real graphic here.. you guys can fill in the blanks, I'm sure.... Except for the hair on my head I lost just about everything else. I have a European background and am not one for shaving all the time... So it was very noticeable when there wasn't anything left to shave even if I wanted to... and for a while there I could easily have worn a thong (not that I would) and not have to worry about stray hairs. I now have about 8 dozen hairs on my legs.. growing in nicely.. I have hairs replacing the peach fuzz that was on my arms.... I didn't have hairy arms, don't misunderstand... but everyone has small hairs there and mine went away to be replaced by peach fuzz. I have a patch on my lower back that has hairs... they're coming back. Arm pits are still bare though.. fine by me! hehehehe I have a really small mole on my left arm, near the inside of my elbow.. it always had a single long, fine hair that grew from it's center. It was only noticeable in the sun when it would glitter... I always pulled it.. it got over and inch long once.. I have no idea how long it could get... but that single hair hasnt' started coming back yet. Guest guest
Hey.. I'm not sharing with you kids NO MORE! Moooommmmmmm these kids are picking on me.. none of them play fair!!!! waaaaaaahhhhhhhhh But seriously... a lot of this stuff I never really took all that much note of until hearing that others are going through the same stuff... so sometimes I come up with some 'silly' things but unless we get brave and 'confess' there is no way to find out if this stuff is connected to hypo or what.. and how to help get better. Look at what things folks have brought up that are getting better by adding selenium or sex hormones or B vitamins or iron.... the more we share of this stuff the more commons and links we'll find and then we can find out what helps... C'mon .. we all know that we can learn on lot more here, in the groups, than we can from most docs!!! Guest guest
What about that study done by Margaret Mead(I think) Dealing with primates ?! (Snicker snicker)Planet of the Apes is also a good movie! Seriously, we all have suffered so long, that it is thrilling to realize that we are returning to " normal " ( So we seem to be going through puberty all over again!) Guest guest
> C'mon .. we all know that we can learn on lot more here, in the >groups, than we can from most docs!!! Double exclamation marks on your comment above!! It's it amazing?? You simply lose a lot of faith in the average doc when you find out all we can learn FROM EACH OTHER!! I, Janie, would NEVER be able to do what I've been doing that last few days if I hadn't have learned about Armour, about getting the free T3 way up there. And then the addition of optimizing my iron and testosterone, plus now being on low-dose estrogen!! In fact, due to the latter, I think, I have lost weight!! I am bolled over with shock. Yes, it is our grass roots groups that make us healthier and know what to seek! Pats on the back to all of us. Guest guest
Janie, Here's another one that I noticed today... I was helping my dad the other day, holding a ladder while he was working on the soffets and fascia on the garage... I cut the knuckle on my thumb.... It was not deep but must have hit something cause I was bleeding all over.... but it stopped fairly quickly. I came in and cleaned it up and fully figured that it would be slow to close and I'd get an infection, like I seem to always do..... That was the middle of last week.... I was doing some dishes today and happened to look at my thumb. I'd not even though about it for a couple of days.... It's all closed over and healing nicely.. no infection! HURRAY for Natural Thyroid. I've not healed ANYTHING this quickly since I had RAI 13 years ago! Not even on $yntrhroid! heheheheeh ....anyone that wants to gossip about Gorilla Movies...wander over to the Cafe... Unless, Janie, we can gossip here... I want to see if anyone loves that line toward the end of Congo as much as I do.... Guest guest
I lost almost all my eyelashes. As I told poor , once I started on Armour, they grew back within a month's time. Guest guest
OK do you know what's funny - Christian has virtually no hair!!! (the pop star I'm in lust with.) I have some pics of him in shorts and there is NO hair on his legs. He doesn't even have side burns. Sigh - that is way too cool!!!! (And no hair on his chest.) I have a couple of pics of him with peach fuzz. A little hair on his arms. Sigh again. Louise

Guest guest
It is just so amazing.. all the years that I was on $ynthroid and had all these things wrong with me... and thought that that was what life would be like with no thyroid and taking pills...... We NEED to educate the doctors and the population. Folks need to know that a better treatment exists.. and use it! No one should spend their life feeling like recycled do food! Guest guest
I like that the hair on my legs and arms are gone. I wish all the other except my head would go too. So Gorillas in the Mist appeals to you ? I know a guy with hair all over his back. LOL Re: Re: WHERE did you lose hair when you were most hypo?? Guest guest
I can still remember all the stuff that I used to do before I stormed and had RAI... working 60 to 80 hours a week, working out (body builder). Taking care of my house, thousands of plants... the greenhouse and gardens, taking care of the cats.. Had a boyfriend.... Went bumming with my gal pal.... I couldn't do ten percent of that now... and worse... my dad, 23 years older than me... retired and almost 70, can literally run circles around me... I used to help him... now he helps me... and not with a smile on his face, either! I have a ways to go yet. My body is still recovering from so many years on $ynthroid, underdosed and the years with no meds at all... But I'm slowing coming back. Wounds are healing, I'm getting hairy legs, my appetite is more normal (and the functions that go with that) I sleep better.... *sigh* If only I'd found the answers years sooner.
