Guest guest
I just tested after eating a Blue Bunny Fudge Lite ice cream bar - no sugar and 9 carbs. I was 137 before and 182, 1 hour later. Is this a normal rise for 9 carbs? Is 182 too high and this means I should not eat these anymore. Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks Carole Re: (No Subject) Sandee, First off, welcome to the list. Second of all, what brand of insulin are you using right now? How many units are you taking? The reason I ask is b/c my mom is strictly just on insulin right now instead of insulin and another med like Glucophage. Feel free to e-mail me privately any time. ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences. __________________________________________________

Some people agree with this, others do not. I would suggest that you try the ice cream again. There could have been other factors that caused the increase and not the ice cream, alone. If you try it again and get a high reading, then you can make the choice of not eating it anymore. Don't give up on any food just because you get one high reading. Guest guest
Welcome to my world of 180 :-)....I seem to get that reading a lot. (even when I eat low carb)...I am seeing my doctor for my H1C test next week... I would go see your doctor or nutritionist (do you see a nutritionist?)...she/he would be able to tell you more ..sus -----Original Message----- From: Carole Schmidt I just tested after eating a Blue Bunny Fudge Lite ice cream bar - no sugar and 9 carbs.
