Guest guest
I take the " Alpha-Betic " (cute name) vitamins on a regular basis. Kind of expensive, and I'm not sure that they are any better than " regular " vitamins (not marketed to diabetics), but they seem to contain a nice variety of stuff, and doesn't seem to screw up anything. Are there other multi-vitamins out there that people are taking along these lines? --K A Weller
Guest guest
I was at the pharmacy to pick up my meds today and I purchased a multi vitamin especially formulated for diabetics. It's called ALPHA BETIC and can be purchased online at www.alphabetic.com From the website: " ALPHA BETIC is the multi-vitamin / mineral supplement designed by doctors For People With Diabetes, Their Families, And Those On Weight- Reducing Diets. In addition to Lutein, chromium and 20 other diabetes specific nutrients, it contains something unique - a naturally occurring co-enzyme called Alpha Lipoic Acid. With more than 40 years of research behind it, this Alpha Lipoic Acid has the unique ability to promote glucose metabolism, healthy nerve function and optimum antioxidant protection. " Worth trying... so thought I should pass along the info. Jacki PS.. vitamins are expensive! This one is about $13 for 30.
Guest guest
I bought these over a year ago when I was first diagnosed. They give me a headache and make me feel sick to my stomach. I'm back to my regular multi vitaman, calcium, flaxseed oil and now dandelion root. Guest guest
Deb, What brand of prenatal vitamin do you take? I take prenatal vitamins too b/c I have found them to be much more effective for me than the regular multi-vitamins. The brand I get is OTC from Wal-Mart. ===== Kristy http://www.geocities.com/sokokl/kristyspersonalpage.html Hoping to be a nurse soon but for now just a Medical Secretary who does a lot of learning from reading on the Net, books, my dr(s), as well as sharing my own personal experiences. __________________________________________________
