Guest guest
Well, I am glad you don't have to take orders from her and GOOD FOR YOU for standing up for what you know is right. Until these doctors have a thyroid disorder of their own, I don't think most of them will ever understand that the TSH is pretty much useless!! Good luck tomorrow!! Angie What an ordeal!!!!!!!!!! Dick's kidney is not working yet (but it will!!!)....but, we had to go down again yesterday for tests and stuff and his new nephrologist (and we sure hope we do not have to deal this woman forever now!!!) came storming in the room with her arrogant, flamboyant, intimidating way---shouting that he can not take so much Armour (he takes 1.5 grains twice daily) as his TSH is suppressed and she shoved that number in my face---I have no idea where she got it from as we have gotten his labs everyday and did not see where they ever did any thyroid testing---anyhow,....I calmly told her we did not care what his TSH is...it is all about where his free 3 is......and she yelled she was the doctor!!!....and sent her lacky out to get his free 3 numbers....and he comes back with the T3 uptake and she literally shoved it in my face and said " this is normal " ---actually, looked above normal......I again, calmly said that is NOT the free 3 and she backed off and said " do what you want, it is not important!! " ....she then proceeded to carry on about all the supplements he was taking and I told her we had all of them approved by the surgeons and the pharmacists and she crossed off most of them and yelled.....Noooooo this, not this, noooo this " in her strong Italian accent.....as she slashed them all off of the list....what a bitch from hell!!!!!!!.......she was the only doctor that we had seen thru this whole experience that never introduced herself and she dresses like a " star " and prances in with her " students " behind her and barks this and that, then leaves with the same flare.....when she left the only other time we saw her last week---we looked at each other and said " what the hell was that???!!! " .......tomorrow he has to go back for a biopsy of the kidney --we have no idea why, as she does not explain a damn thing....Dick did not even hear her say that and did not know it until we were leaving and they were giving him instructions.....I am NOT looking forward to seeing her again.........sue in TN

Guest guest
I say next time she comes in you look around behind her and address her students. Let them know that it is not required to be a bitch to succeed in this profession, in fact you would quite prefer it if she lost her attitude. Or something similar, I think I would have stronger words. Then look back at her and say " Yes, continue. " I'm sorry but if you are rude to me you better hope there is not an audience or you will get a firm dressing down. in AZ......feeling fiesty today, perhaps I should make a doctors appt and take out this frustration on her! LOL > And Remember, the Patient Pays YOU, bitch!!! 101.....hahahaha....too > bad she is their " teacher " ......sue > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > > > > >his new nephrologist (and we sure hope we do not have to deal this > > >woman forever now!!!) came storming in the room with her arrogant, > > >flamboyant, intimidating way---shouting......... > > > > Oh my gosh. Guest guest
What a wacko. Way to handle her, though. Good job! She obviously isn't in medicine to help people. She just wants to make money so she can support her " star " look. I'm still prayin' for the kidney to start working. I had some bad news yesterday. My dad (one year ago) had stomach cancer and they took out 3/4 of his stomach. He recovered beautifully and has been doing really good over the past year. Well, the cancer is back. The good news is that it is not malignant. He meets with a surgeon next Tuesday. The only option is to take the remainder of his stomach out. How terrible. Its such a let down because he was doing to wondefully. Anyway, keep us posted on Dick's progress! Hugs, Zina > Dick's kidney is not working yet (but it will!!!)....but, we had to go down again yesterday for tests and stuff and his new nephrologist (and we sure hope we do not have to deal this woman forever now!!!) came storming in the room with her arrogant, flamboyant, intimidating way---shouting that he can not take so much Armour (he takes 1.5 grains twice daily) as his TSH is suppressed and she shoved that number in my face---I have no idea where she got it from as we have gotten his labs everyday and did not see where they ever did any thyroid testing---anyhow,....I calmly told her we did not care what his TSH is...it is all about where his free 3 is......and she yelled she was the doctor!!!....and sent her lacky out to get his free 3 numbers....and he comes back with the T3 uptake and she literally shoved it in my face and said " this is normal " ---actually, looked above normal......I again, calmly said that is NOT the free 3 and she backed off and said " do what you want, it is not > important!! Guest guest
Or you can say something like - I thought they had a new emphasis on beside manners and how to treat patients with respect. Wait a second - isn't there a patients bill of rights and isn't one of the items being treated with respect. Or you can complain to her boss. Being in a hospital is stressful enough without having to put up with that. Louise
Guest guest
Good luck on the biopsy. As far as the attitude of the " grand Witch " hopefully this will be the last you see of her! Guest guest
The biopsy did not take place...they found that the kidney has an obstruction somewhere so they needed to insert a tube directly into it to drain drain the blood, etc.....that is why he was having so much pain and pressure, apparently....so he is back in the hospital and once the drainage is no longer bright red he can come home until they decide what the next step will be to find the problem.....I am home to nap!!.......sue in TN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > Good luck on the biopsy.
