I worry when we don't hear from Phil, , Darin, Jim etc.

Hi Dee,

Happy New Year.

I'm sorry if I haven't been posting about Phil, but it's just I don't have anything new to post. Phil is doing much better, but we haven't seen the doctors in Miami yet to let us know if the treatment worked. He's scheduled to go tomorrow. He still has some of the symptoms like headaches, diarrhea and some fatigue, but nothing compare to last month. His appetite is back and he is sleeping better.

We have a home care nurse who comes over everyday to clean and flush his hickman. She also sees the difference in him. We are hoping tomorrow will be all good news and that they take out the line (hickman). The area is starting to become uncomfortable.

So hopefully tomorrow I will have some news. This has to be a better year for all of us. I know that this group can tell you how many times I felt like I'm losing it too. As a caregiver it's hard to try and stay strong when we are watching the ones we love go through this, the helplessness and hopelessness you are feeling is something we all feel. We want to make them better, but don't know how.

I find comfort in hearing from the group. Everyone here is going through the same thing and if there's anything you need to know or just hear some comforting words someone in this wonderful group will be there for you.

Take it easy, but most of all take care of yourself. I've been told over and over again, that as a caregiver we need to remember to take care of ourselves so we can help the ones we love.

Hugs,

wife of Phil

Hi there, I am glad to hear Phil is feeling better. Thanks for

keeping us posted. We are like family and worry if we don't hear from

any of our members. Even if it's just a quick hello.

Take care and Happy New Year!
