Guest guest
Noelle, My son was tested positive for XMRV last year when he participated in the original study collaborated by VIP Dx and Whittemore Institute. I don't think that there are any treatments being reported effective yet, since this is a new discover. I missed Dr. Judy Mikovits's presentation at Autism One, May Chicago. You can purchase the DVD of the presentation, if interested. When I called Dr. K's office to report my son's positive test result early this year, I was told to start Artemisinin cocktail as treatment for this. My son has been on Artemisinin with a pulsing schedule for a few months now. I am adding back L-Lysine and Lauricidin. We have small gains here and there, but nothing is worthy of writing home about. I also focus on methylation support. The proper function of methylation is necessary to silence virus. The commonly used chemical (metal) chelators are known to have antiviral activity. DMSA specifically has anti-retrovial activity. However, it should be also noted that DMSA has been shown to trigger the inflammatory mediator TNF alpha, so it would be important to have some anti-inflammtory agents in place when on DMSA. I personally believe that anti-viral therapy cannot be effective without some metal detox protocol. Retrovirus in the body serve as source for renewed viral infection. High titters of measles and mumps are commonly seen in children with autism. Both are retroviruses. Retroviruses might be the behind-the-scence hosts who throw parties for infectious microbes and alike. I know this is a fairly new virus but I would love to hear if there are any physicians, naturopaths etc.. treating this. My son and I test positive for this but only through muscle testing so far. > > Thanks, > Noelle > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
Hi Limin, Thank you so much for the response. We have monolaurin and artemisinin on board at the moment. We just began the new protocols so we will see where this takes us. Seems much in line with what you were saying. Do you think your son is tired at all from this virus or maybe just a lower level of energy? I will be looking into Cheney's research, I think hes in North Carolina.
