Guest guest
Hello everyone, I was at Mayo Clinic this week. I am sad to say they didn't do much for me. It was actually a wasted 17 hr trip for me. I did find out that there are 2 dr's in the Memphis TN area which is only 4 hrs from me that are experts in tethered cord. The neurologist told me that he wouldn't recommend another surgery for me because a tested showed that I am suffering from past nerve damage not new. I forgot what it was called I think EKG or something like that. The Urologist said that my bladder is refluxing into my left kidney which is not function hardly. He told me that, my left kidney is saving me from going into kidney failure right now because if it's taken out it will be refluxing in my right one. He said there is a test you can do to see the percentage of how much it is functioning and it can be taken out. If mine is taken out I will have to have a bladder aguementation at the same time. This is suppose to be very risky. How anyone of here had one? If so when? What is the recovery time and did it help?
