LED for heavy metals followed by IV chelation, UTM results:

I always record volume collected so I can use the creatinine concentration

(mg/dL) to calculate total grams of creatinine to adjust the ug/g metal metal

result for total amount of excreted metal.

Looking at the 4 UTMs in the past 1 year (during which we probably had ~20

chelations), we consistently see ~ 13.5 ug of aluminum, 1.7-2.1 ug Pb, 0.2-0.4

ug Hg, 0.07-0.12 ug of Cadmium, ~0.06 Antimony, and ~0.013 Uranium excreted.

With this 4th UTM, there was no increase in Hg excretion. Thus, with each

chelation, we continue to only remove about 1/70th of the mercury he got in one

of his 3 flu shots. Very depressing, as zyto indicated various Hg forms are huge

stressors for him. However, the output for Aluminum more than doubled to 31ug.

Lead almost doubled to 2.8 ug, Antimony and Uranium and Cadmium doubled to

tripled, and cesium was in the yellow at a level 5 times higher than the last

report in early '10 (only this and the last UTM reported Cesium, so I can't

compare with the two from '09). I should note these items were all barely or

midway into the yellow on this recent UTM (most usually are). We never get in

the red. Sawyer has had a total of about 70 IV chelations in 3 years, so we have

been at this a long time.

I would have to say that the LED had a small effect inducing/facilitating heavy

metal detox for Sawyer, but the effect may not be significant as our biggest

problem (Hg) was not impacted by the treatment. If I could continue LED at home

there may be some cumulative benefits to multiple treatments, but I have no

vials. We followed the recommended protocol which involved just 2 LEDs for

Sulfa (the first was kind of a bust due to poor patient cooperation), 1 for

chemical toxins, and 1 for heavy metals. Based on the modest results and

factoring in the high RT travel time to the office and very high costs involved

to bring LED on board, I am really disappointed and discouraged from pursing

additional LED. Does anyone have a different view? Should I be dancing about

the aluminum or cesium?

Has anyone else seen UTM data that indicated LED is effective for some or most

heavy metal toxic patients?

Thanks

Becky
