Thanks, yes, I saw it but alas I am at this particular point " financially

distressed " so won' t be able to attend, alas. If I'd had some advance

warning -- like maybe six months or so -- I could've budgeted for it.

CPRCarol near Seattle, will you be going?

Vicki,

Don't know if you saw it yet, but the TCOYD conference with Dr

Edelman is going to be in Seattle, I think at the end of April. Check

their

website.

Vicki,

I'm already booked to give a class to a large group this Saturday. I did ask

around to see if I could get someone to sub for me, but it didn't work out.

I'm not permanently financially distressed, just temporarily. 'fraid if I

gave them my income and asked for scholarship aid they'd laugh me out of the

computer. I'm a quilter and a fabric freak and I went to a sewing fair last

month and spent all my Discretionary Income for the next three months).

What I normally do is check http://www.tcoyd.org in January of each year, and

see where he's going. I probably won't go to another one until he comes to

Texas. I will drive to Dallas if he goes there (where he told me they want to

go). I've been trying to get him to go to San or Austin (closer).

You could try emailing Dr. Edelman. They have assistance for those who can't

afford it. If it'll make you feel better, you can send them some money at a

later time.

Bill,

If you find out that Dr. Edelman is coming to Dallas or the Austin or San

areas would you please let me know. I could stay with my son at

Spicewood (north of Austin) or my daughter at (east of Dallas)

and they would make arrangements to get me there. That is....if I'm still

able when that time comes. It's been a rough time around here lately and

I'm just waiting to see if they are putting me on that list to have the new

pacemaker. One of my friends just had the surgery and it was $72,000.00. I

don't know if Medicare will approve it or not. I'm keeping my fingers

crossed. My friend is doing much better now and is actually up and walking

again. He wasn't even able to walk around in his house for about 3 months.

He's been home for about 2 weeks now. Prior to that, they put him in the

hospital and gave him Lasix by IV and he lost 40 lbs. in 2 days. Of course,

he's a big man, over 6 ft. tall, and I'm just barely 5'3 " if I stand real

straight. The last time they gove me the Lasix treatment like that I lost

12 lbs. in 1 day.

Take care,

Tootie

If I find out, I will post it to the list. More than likely he will email me

when he finally comes to Texas.

He did mention Nashville to me when I asked him in Jan if they were coming to

Texas, since he knows I went there before. I booked my airline and had hotel

reservations, and Grand Ole Opry reservations in October 2000.
