Guest guest
Well, I am the opposite of all of you..I am always cold..unless it's around 110..then I'm warm. , though, is always lolling around the house in a bathing suit, shorts, tank tops..no matter how cold it is..and she never wants to wear a coat! I have the most calloused feet in creation because I don't wear shoes unless the snow is drifting around my ankles. On the FlyLady list, she insists that you wear shoes every day in your house -- I CAN'T do it. I wear the same thing every day at home -- my big comfy pajama bottoms and one of three different comfy tops. I ONLY change to leave the house, and soon as I get home I change back. I also eschew undergarments (!). Can't stand them; they're too constricting. I will also don these to leave the house, and take em off as soon as I get home. According to my mom, I have always been like this. When I was little, as soon as I'd get home from school I'd strip naked and run around. I think this is DEFINITELY a sensory thing! And I don't know if this is related, but every time I dress up to go out somewhere nice, I invariably drop food all over myself and my nice, constricting, uncomfortable clothing. Hmmmm. I barely recognized you, sweet child! ;o) Whew! Grace

Don't forget, I: -read precociously early (hyperlexia) -stripped naked ALWAYS -kicked strangers out of terror -became physically violent when they skipped me a grade and put me into an unfamiliar classroom - " made friends " by grabbing other children by the hair and telling them they were going to be my friend -was incredibly hyper, scaling the filing cabinets of the doctor's office at 3yrs of age and grabbing the doctor's hair from above while he sat there and told my mom I was normal -had to be drugged to sleep every night for three years -forced my mother to make meals just for me for the first 15 years of my life, because my diet was so limited. Sound like anyone you know? The more I learn about my childhood, and the more I learn about how other people (normal people) were, the more I know I'm NOT NT. ROTFL!!!! > Sound like anyone you know? > Yep. But I think Madison is higher-functioning. She flirts and doesn't pull hair to make friends LOL. And she likes most strangers. LOL (I'm joking) > The more I learn about my childhood, and the more I learn about how other people (normal people) were, the more I know I'm NOT NT. > The more I hear about it - the more I think will be a-ok. My mother made me special meals, by the way, because I ate so little and I was so skinny that she was afraid people would think she was starving me. But otherwise you do sound more like Enrique and Putter. Salli
